Be kind to animals and birds

This summer's heatwave is being felt intensely across the country. The extreme temperatures are not only affecting people but also causing great suffering to animals living on the streets. Dogs, cats, cattle, and birds are struggling due to a lack of water, and many are becoming sick or even dying from dehydration and heat stress.

Unlike humans, these helpless creatures cannot express their pain and suffering in words. Yet this world does not belong to humans alone; animals and birds are an inseparable part of Nature. A small act of kindness from us can help save their lives.

We can place bowls of clean water on our balconies, rooftops, in our yards, or beside roads so that thirsty animals and birds can drink. If possible, we can also provide them with food. In addition, planting trees and creating greener surroundings can offer them much-needed shade and shelter during the hot weather. Such efforts will also help preserve biodiver-sity and maintain ecological balance.

Our small gestures of compassion and empathy can make a significant difference in the lives of these beautiful creatures. By caring for animals and birds during this period of extreme heat, we contribute to a more humane and environmentally responsible society.
